Party Rewind - DJ Eclypse - N.A.T.C. (North Atlanta Trade Center)
October 11, 2009 10:31 AM PDT
In this set, I'm going head to head with some of the biggest names in the industry. With Micro, DJ Dan, and Bad Boy Bill rocking the house, I decided to take things up a notch from my previous set "The GA Freight Depot". By digging deep into my hard trance library, I put together an incredibly aggressive set that had the whole place rockin'. I also managed to keep an uplifting feel throughout the set, which is often a challenge when using so many aggressive songs. Original set played May 12, 2001. Enjoy! Tracklist: 1. Heaven (Alfonso vs Darren James’ Forward Mix) – Magic Alec

At the height of the rave scene in Atlanta, the race was on to find new and exciting venues. Outerlimits did just that when they scored Atlanta's Historic Georgia Freight Depot. With forty foot ceilings, and a dance floor large enough to house a full size gazebo right in the middle of it, this venue was going to be the place for an incredible dance event. The mix for this set was one of the hardest hitting sets that I had ever played live, with most of the tracks pushing that harder trance edge that we so often hear today from some of the top names in the industry. So get out of that chair and get ready to experience "The Freight Depot" from Feb. 19th, 2000! Tracklist: 1. Question (Auroron’s Rapture Mix) – Memnon

In this set, we will take a journey to the deepest depths of the ocean. Like a soundtrack taken straight out of a documentary about deep sea exploration, this mix will surprise you with each new song. Strategic track selection was key in making sure the songs delivered the correct rhythm and feel. From eerie to fanciful angelic sounds, this mix is an incredible production from beginning to end and every bit on par with my other production mixes like "The Factory" and "Illusions". Hope you enjoy! Tracklist:

This mix contains a blend of Progressive House and Trance. Designed for those who desire more vocals in their music, Solstice was intended to build up to the vocal tracks which are centered in the mix and end with some higher energy trance tracks. Enjoy! Tracklist:

The year is 2096, and the world has become overrun with heavy industry. With a near sinister and uneasy feel, the music chosen for this set (progressive, electro, and tech house) is supposed to represent the emotional grind of a day inside "THE FACTORY". Tracklist:

Nearly a year in the making, Illusions has finally been pieced together to create an incredible journey into the realm of modern trance. Rich grooves and atmospheric sounds set the stage for an extremely well integrated and crafted set. Deep mixing and strategically placed tracks allow you to hear songs played all the way to their last note giving a unique sound that is rarely replicated. The gradual increase in pace and song intensity keeps the mix alive throughout the entire set, but should never feel overdriven. The train leaves now for this mix, so hop on board and enjoy the experience.

This second installment of Party Rewind brings you back in time to that steamy Saturday evening on June 24th, 2000. This is the first time that "The Light" was to play in Atlanta, so for this special event, I cooked up something quite different than my usual progressive sets. This time, the set would be comprised of mostly trance, progressive, and cosmic breaks, with just a splash of progressive trance to start off the set. With long transitions between most of the songs, the sound is very in tune with the way I do my trance mixes. Hope you enjoy! 1. Listen (Remix) – Expansion (DJ D:Fuse & Shane Howard)

Mission length: 2hrs 12min 14sec This mix is designed to represent a 2 hour dj liveset. The song selections were chosen to increase with drive and intensity as the mix progresses and will climax with some great uplifting tracks as you reach the end of the set. Tracklist:

This mix is a fully composed set which contains deep and progressive trance songs. Overall the set was designed with a space voyage theme which gives a real theatrical feel to the mix. Tracklist: 1. Haliod Xerrox Copy 9 pt.1 - Alva Noto

Where were you when Deepsky first visited Atlanta? This first episode called "Party Rewind" is going to bring you back in time to that amazing evening put on by Outerlimits Productions Atlanta. The mix you are about to hear is a remastered version of the set that was played before Deepsky took the stage. If you were there, please feel free to leave a comment about that night, and if you weren't, but love the set, leave a comment as well.
